James G Alexander, Jr Ozark, Alabama
" Watson is where it Wuz" has got to be one of the funniest most
entertaining books I have read in a long time and I do a lot of reading.
The military section is almost a carbon image of the experiences of Mark and
I when we joined the army down in Texas and were sent to Ft Chaffee for 16
weeks of basic training in 1949. I am recommending it to all of my old army
buddies as well as other friends and relatives.
Sandra Bartholomey Caruthersville, Missouri

Tom took it and keeps laughing. It was his birthday present so I waited until he went to sleep and took it from him. On a scale of one to ten it can be nothing but a TEN.

Your use of dialect and play on words make it a very humorous read. It is obvious that you have a keen sense of timing in using humor.
Connie Brubaker Uniondale, Indiana

I gave one of your books to my sister and she says she reads part of it
every morning and laughs about it the rest of the day. Says she can't
imagine anyone not loving it.
Carol Corrao Ann Arbor, Michigan
My impression of the book was that it made me feel homesick! It was like sitting on Grandpa's porch and listening to him tell stories, (something I'd give anything to have one more time!) If you decide to do a sequel, you can surely put my name down for a copy!
Sam Covey Prescott, Ontario, Canada

What a fun weekend losing myself in Tubby Joe's exploits! I kept wondering how much of your self was in Tubby Joe! The overt humor is delightful¦ you give us the ability to laugh at ourselves as we identify with the antics. I loved the story of the dances on the bridge in the glare of the truck lights with synchronized radios!! Have you ever written a dictionary of the dialect? I think posterity would appreciate it immensely. Keep up the delightful writing. Thanks for the memories.
Mary Alice Geary Tampa, Florida

Loved all of them but the Graveyard and Baseball Game seemed to fit at the time I read them. I read a lot of it out loud at the office. I had everyone in stitches. Wonderful! My brother said he read the book twice and that he felt sure that you were talking about Elbert, Texas. Bill, brother has passed his copy around to all his in-laws and the people at the company where he works. Everyone loved it. I hang on to mine. If anyone wants to read it, they can buy their own .
Cindy Johnson Elk Grove Village, Illinois
The stories sure put a smile on my face.

I think your book is great!!! And yes, you should write another. I have “chuckled" all through it. I left it in my family room and the other day I heard one of my sister's caregivers chuckling also. I went to see what she was laughing about, and guess what, she was reading your book. She is a black lady and said it reminded her of some of the ol' boys she knew when she was young.
Ben Outlaw Rosenberg, Texas

Watson brought tears to my eyes and a sore belly from laughing so much. You incorporate down-home wisdom with a wit equal to that of Will Rogers. This book deserves to make the Top 10 and I hope that it does.
